Genderqueer Menopause and Magickal Menopause Books Forthcoming!
Announcing my partnership with North Atlantic Books, and Llewellyn Worldwide, in bringing forth new menopause resources
Note: I rarely cross-post to both my Substack newsletters, but please forgive me for doing so this time—I have some big news! (Apologies to those of you who will get the post twice.)
I know I’ve been quiet here for a bit. It was for a good reason; I’ve been on a book-writing schedule! I have signed a contract and am super pleased to inform you that North Atlantic Books is publishing my Genderqueer Menopause title in the Fall of 2025! I have my first draft of the book completed, and it’s with my editor now for a feedback round. I have an amazing crew of test readers, and they have made the project stronger, more complete, and more graceful.
I feel exceedingly blessed to have the opportunity to bring this material forward at a higher level, to continue offering resources to my community, and to continue to advocate for our care needs.
Writing this book has been an absolute joy and delight so far. It has flowed out of me at a great velocity, an undammed river that was just waiting to flow free. I’ve done a huge amount of chasing-down research, which has rounded out areas of my awareness. (Always an amazing benefit of writing a nonfiction book, as far as I’m concerned.)
Now I’m gathering anecdotal experiences of genderqueer menopause for the book, and would love your input if you are:
genderqueer, trans, genderfluid, nonbinary/enby, gnc, or otherwise queerbodied, and…
you have experienced, are experiencing, or will experience the menopause transition.
If that’s you, click here to participate in my survey! I’d love to read your words.
And, that’s not all!
I also signed another contract with Llewellyn Worldwide, the publisher that first took on my work lo these couple of decades ago. (Sexy Witch is 20 years old next year, and I have news to come on that front as well!) I will be writing Magickal Menopause for Llewellyn, and that title will hit the stands in 2026.
These two books take vastly different approaches to interfacing with the menopause transition, and I believe both titles will appeal to many of my readers and community members.
Feeling super blessed to be able to do what I love to do. What I’m passionate about. And, to be able to offer these resources out into the world.
Now, back to the writing project, but please respond to my survey. And, you’ll be hearing more from me soon!
Congrats! I'm excited that both of these books will soon be in the world.
Congrats! It’s well-needed literature!
